Insurance and deposit: how it works in Morocco
What a rental car's insurance covers in Morocco, how the deposit works and how it is returned to you. No jargon.
Insurance and the deposit are the two things people worry about most before renting. Here's how they work with us, explained simply.
What the insurance covers
All our vehicles are insured. The basic insurance includes civil liability — damage you might cause to a third party. It is included in the displayed rate, with no hidden supplement.
Depending on the vehicle, excess-reduction options may be offered to limit your liability for damage to the rented car. Ask us for the details before you set off.
The excess, in plain terms
The excess is the amount that may remain your responsibility in the event of at-fault damage. The lower the excess, the more protected you are. Buy-back options reduce it, or even waive it on some models.
How the deposit works
The deposit is an amount held at the start that guarantees the car's safe return. At Ihssane Car it is paid in cash — no credit card needed to place it.
Its amount depends on the car category: modest on a city car, higher on an SUV or premium sedan. It is communicated clearly before booking.
Getting your deposit back
At the end of the rental, if the car is returned in the same condition and with the same fuel level, the deposit is returned in full. No surprise deductions: our terms are written and explained in advance.
